PoTM: Rassie van Der Dussen They bowled pretty well, in my opinion, up front. We scored four runs in each over on average. Quinny (de Kock) put in a lot of work for fifty, and after that he mentored me. We played well together as a team. The ball grew softer on the better pitch, which was fortunate for us. We let our bowlers know that when they hit the pitch at a decent length, there was something for them to gain. Test the lengths of matches. We knew that if we go deep, we could eventually score big even though they kept a lid on us. Quinny did a great job of reminding me to maintain my weight. If it's in your community, be tenacious, but honor the good ball. The final group, including Miller, was outstanding. That's the range of 300–320 that we discussed. I'm happy that we crossed the finish line with a significant lead. Everybody made a contribution. absolute teamwork in action.
NZ captain Tom Latham: Not the best work we did. Following that partnership, we were under pressure (between de Kock and Rassie.) It was a significant win. From a batting perspective, those partnerships were necessary, but we were at a disadvantage. Those two had an incredible game. It would have been preferable to limit them to about 330. Despite the good surface and small ground, we were unable to muster much in the first ten overs. They put themselves in a great position, in my opinion, and it was disappointing that we were unable to form alliances. We have experienced hardships due to wounds. We'll quickly evaluate this one and go on to the next match that will be played at Banglaore (vs Pakistan).
Temba Bavuma, captain of SA: a clinical exhibit Say, if I may. De Kock and Rassie made a strong team for us. Very pleased with how the bowlers executed their roles; they were clinical. Quinny and I attempted to evaluate the circumstances. We sulked over the bad balls and managed to stash a few of them away. Quinny didn't start off in his usual fashion, but he adhered to the strategy: avoid damage until the thirty-first over, then make the most of our powerful batsmen. We were aware that they would hit us hard and that we would have our chances. We carried out our routine. We'll need to confirm with our team manager, but it appears that this victory secures our place in the semifinals.
