India vs. Australia, Third T20I:
Australia defeated India by five wickets here on Tuesday thanks to Glenn Maxwell's explosive century.
Australia was able to reduce India's advantage in the five-match series to 2-1 with this victory.
In the final ball of the match, Australia overcame India's 222 for 3, thanks to Maxwell's 104 from 48 balls (8x4, 8x6).
Captain Matthew Wade made a vital 28 off 16 balls and was still undefeated.
For India, leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi claimed two wickets.
Earlier, the foundation of India's large total was Ruturaj Gaikwad's first international century. With 57 balls, Gaikwad scored an incredible undefeated 123 runs.
When Jason Behrendorff caught the ball on the second delivery of the second over, India's opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal (6) was out. Shortly after, Stoinis catches Ishan Kishan on the third delivery of the third over, and Kane Richardson removes him.
After that, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav came to bat and quickly smashed 39 runs off of just 29 balls until Hardie trapped him in the pavilion in the eleventh over. Ruturaj Gaikwad then picked up the pace of the batting, reaching his first T20I century in 52 balls. In 57 balls, he scored 123 undefeated runs. In 24 balls, Tilak Verma too scored an undefeated 31 runs. In just 67 balls, they established a partnership for 141 runs.
India set a goal of 223 runs for Australia to chase after scoring 222/3 runs in 20 overs.
Aaron Hardie, Jason Behrendorff, and Kane Richardson each took one wicket for Australia.
In their first two Twenty20 matches, the Men in Blue have looked impeccable, and the Indian batsmen have emulated their captain by amassing over 200 runs in each of the two games. Arshdeep Singh, Mukesh Kumar, Ravi Bishnoi, and the other bowlers from India will be trying to chip in more to relieve some of the load on the batsmen, who are already under a lot of strain without bowling all-rounder Hardik Pandya.
Suryakumar Yadav, who is leading the team for the first time in this T20 series, has never lost before. SKY will aim to make this series memorable for him as captain by handily defeating the Kangaroos following the ODI World Cup.
Australia will be without seasoned opener Steve Smith and wrist-spinner Adam Zampa ahead of their Twenty20 match on Tuesday. Cricket Australia has already called in replacements for a number of Australian players who will be returning home on Wednesday, including Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis.
Australia, who appeared worn out following a protracted stay in India, will need to make improvements in every area to be competitive in this series.
Standouts:
In the third Twenty20 International at Guwahati, Australian captain Matthew Wade chose to bowl first against India after winning the toss.

Third wicket partnership (RD Gaikwad 15, SA Yadav 34) of 50 runs in 39 balls
On the second delivery, India lose to SKY (39), who is dismissed by Hardie, and wade collects the ball. Hardie's first T20I wicket comes from this.
RD Gaikwad reaches his fifty off thirty-two balls as India completes their hundred runs in 11.6 overs (72 balls).
(RD Gaikwad 30, NT Tilak Varma 17)
The fourth wicket partnership of 50 runs occurs in 22 deliveries. India finishes with 150 runs in 16.1 overs (97 balls).
India complete 200 runs in 19.1 overs (116 balls) with the fourth wicket partnership of 100 runs coming in 46 balls (RD Gaikwad 73, NT Tilak Varma 21, Ex 6).
With 52 balls, RD Gaikwad scores his first T20I century (11 x 4, 5 x 6).
India set a goal of 223 runs for Australia to chase after scoring 222/3 runs in 20 overs.
15. Travis Head, making his comeback to the cricket pitch since Australia's World Cup victory, was still riding high on confidence while chasing 223 runs.
16. With a swinging delivery, Arshdeep Singh made the breakthrough and sent Hardie back with a score of 16(12).
17. After replacing Mukesh Kumar, Avesh Khan took his first wicket of the evening, removing the intimidating-appearing Head for a score of 35 (18).
18. Bishnoi gave Josh Inglis a full mental breakdown with a fast googly that slid through the opening and chopped the bails off the stumps.
In order to keep Australia on track for the massive chase, Glenn Maxwell arrived at the crease and smacked Prasih Krishna all over the field.
Australia scored 105/3 at the end of the first ten overs.
19. Tim David was sent back to the pavilion for a golden duck by Ravi Bishnoi, whose spin continued to pose a threat to Australia's batting lineup. But Maxwell went on to unleash his inner force, leading Australia to win against Afghanistan in the World Cup and using his raw strength to silence the Indian bowling lineup.
20. Prasidh Krishna and Axar Patel combined to give up 45 runs in the last two overs. In the last over, Prasidh had to defend 21 runs, but Maxwell's sheer hitting force left the speedster without a response. Australia took five wickets to win the match.
Tonight, Maxwell can only do what he did tonight! After this game, he has a flight back home, and he has given his team a final present of a victory before leaving. Australia never gave up; in fact, they were constantly ahead of India, and when things got tight, Maxwell's brilliance helped them get by. They got off to a quick start thanks to Head and Hardie, and Maxwell maintained the momentum even though there was a bit of a lull in the middle when a few wickets fell. In the final over, Maxwell reached his century and Matthew Wade had a significant impact as well. Please remember Prasidh Krishna, who faced the most difficult assignment of the evening: he had to defend 21 off the final over with Maxwell at the wicket and an additional fielder in the ring. A raging feast for runs today, Australia comes through with a crucial four-for-one victory to extend the series to two games.
Jason Behrendorff:
We won, which is the most important thing. It's amazing. After what happened, I'm at a loss for words right now. It's a joyful hunting place; I've had two games here. Not been on too many runs. The tide turned early, and I seized the opportunity. Ideally, we would like to win the series, and we are getting there. Moving forward, we must maintain this momentum. Maxi wins Player of the Match because he not only got us across the finish line but also played in his 100th T20I match.
India would have been overjoyed at the midway point as Ruturaj Gaikwad's brilliant century propelled them over 220 once more. The batting conditions were ideal, and India gained a significant lead in the last over when Maxwell bowled the ball for thirty runs. It turns out, though, that Maxwell's destructive mood meant that it wasn't quite enough. With a century of his own, he eclipsed Gaikwad's knock and corrected his mistakes with the ball.
Suryakumar Yadav, captain of India:
Maxi was to be removed as soon as possible. With all the moisture, you have to give the bowlers something to defend 220. Australia was never out of the contest. Told the boys we'd try to get Maxwell out as soon as possible, but it was crazy that it didn't work out. Axar is a skilled bowler, but when there's dew, there's always a chance for a skilled bowler, even if it's a spinner. incredibly pleased with my sons.
Matthew Wade, captain of Australia: Not much better than that will do. It was labor-intensive. Due to an injury to Kane (Richardson), Maxi had to be bowled in the final over, throwing a wrench in the plans. He performed exceptionally well, scoring a hundred in his hundred T20I. I wouldn't say I was confident; by the midway point, I was a little cranky. After the 19th over, we believed we were in the game at 190, but the final over ended in a 30 run score. I was one over short because Richardson wounded himself. In the end, it was all in good fun; if Maxi hadn't thrown up 30 in that over, he most likely wouldn't have received a hundred. The boys are cheerful, so perhaps we can squeeze in one more in the next game and take it down to the last game.
Glenn Maxwell | Most Valuable Player: Everything happened rather swiftly. They had a lot of work to do bowling yorkers with so much dew. We weren't actually thinking of a specific number. knew that if we could win it to the last over, we would be in the game. With Axar having one more over towards the end, Wade needed to be there to cash in. Wade was excellent outside; his approach also benefited me.
Maxwell helps Australia secure a stunning victory that keeps the series alive. His night didn't seem to be going well when he bowled his 100th T20I, giving up 30 runs in the one over he was bowled. However, he turned things around when he came out to bat, playing a vintage Maxwell knock that not only helped his side win but also scored a century. With two games remaining in the series, India is now ahead 2-1. Australia's team, which will be without several players, including Maxwell, will have some fresh faces in that Friday's match in Raipur. We hope you had fun, and that's all we have for you tonight.
