Dollas Cowboys Vs 49ers
The Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers game in Week 5 of "Sunday Night Football" was widely anticipated to be a duel between two of the NFC's finest clubs. Dallas was out for payback after losing to a rival team in the postseason twice in a row, going all the way back to the 1990s.
However, the Niners demonstrated that they are currently playing in a class of their own with their 42-10 thrashing of the Cowboys. The two NFL teams still undefeated are the Philadelphia Eagles and the Niners, who met in the NFC Championship Game the previous season.
Brock Purdy, who finished with four passing touchdowns and improved to 10-0 as a starter in the regular season, found tight end George Kittle on three occasions, all of which were touchdown throws.
Kittle caught his second touchdown of the game on a 38-yard trick play.
Christian McCaffrey tied the record set by Cowboys running back and Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith in 1995 by scoring a touchdown in 14 consecutive games.
In the opening quarter, linebacker Fred Warner caused a fumble and then picked off Dak Prescott, who ended up with three interceptions. The Cowboys offense, outgained 170-57 on the ground, depended entirely on Prescott's arm for any firepower.
It was the Cowboys' second-biggest loss under head coach Mike McCarthy.

In the win, Warner recorded the most tackles for the team with eight, one sack, one interception, and one forced fumble.

A painful loss for the Cowboys
The Cowboys' injury list just keeps getting longer. Early in the fourth quarter, linebacker Leighton Vander Esch hurt his neck while stopping Jordan Mason's 26-yard touchdown run. The sixth-year veteran, who has previously experienced neck problems, lay in the turn for a few minutes as medical staff treated to him. In the end, Vander Esch got up and moved independently through the locker room.
Vander Esch's eligibility to play again was officially deemed "questionable" by the team.
Unofficially, there's scarcely a compelling case to bring Mason back given that his touchdown increased the 49ers' lead to 42-10.
