When Kohli turns back towards the dressing room, the crowd erupts in celebration and the Indian number three receives a warm embrace from his partner. Kohli comes down the track, takes the ball on the full and then plays the bottom hand on the lofted shovel, having enough to clear the ropes on the full. Nasum Ahmed to Kohli, SIX, Kohli has his hundred, India have won.
The audience entered to witness at least one Indian score a hundred as well as to watch India win. While they were winning easily with about 25 runs remaining, it didn't appear that way, but Kohli took it upon himself to reach the three-figure mark. He began to play aggressively, refusing to be hit unless it was the final ball of the over, running quickly to turn one-ball into twos, and leaving KL as a mere bystander as he reached his hundred with the winning blow. Although 257 was going to be a difficult score, Rohit, the new-look With a 40-ball 48 to take India ahead, Rohit was one of three Indians dismissed while trying to get beyond the ropes.
But very little was tested with India. Shubman Gill amassed a fifty-seven-run score, Virat Kohli scored a hundred and forty-eight in one-day internationals, and KL Rahul scored a tidy thirty-four points. Bangladesh has lost three games in a row and never really put this potent Indian batting lineup to the test. Nevertheless, India is still in control and hasn't lost in four games after four successful chases.
India defeated Bangladesh seven wickets to one on Thursday in Pune, making it four victories from four matches in the Cricket World Cup thanks to an unbeaten century from Virat Kohli.
India reached their target of 257 in 42 overs, but Kohli's six off spinner Nasum Ahmed to reach his century was the game-winning run. India finished on 261-3.
India starts the chase off strong as Rohit and Shubman hit the Bangladeshi bowlers in an attacking manner. Another fifty-score is reached by Virat Kohli. On October 19, in the ongoing ODI World Cup match against India, Bangladesh chose to bat first after winning the toss.
Bangladesh's openers got going after a sluggish start and scored 100 runs in 17.2 overs. However, as Indian bowlers took the initiative, starting with Kuldeep Yadav and ending with Ravindra Jadeja, wickets began to fall from that position.
Important runs were scored by Tanzid Hasan (51), Litton Das (66), Mushfiqur Rahim (38) and Mahmudullah (46), who guided Bangladesh to a 256/8 total in 50 overs. Shardul Thakur and Kuldeep Yadav each took one wicket, while Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Siraj, and Jasprit Bumrah claimed two wickets apiece for India.
India now needs to win the match with 257 runs.
The recent history between the two countries is what makes this competition especially exciting. Even though India has historically dominated—winning 31 of the 40 ODI matches—Bangladesh's recent form cannot be ignored. The conventional narrative of 'upsets' has been challenged as they have emerged victorious in three of their last four games against India.
The fact that these teams' most recent meeting occurred in September during the Asia Cup 2023 is notable. After leading Bangladesh to an exciting victory by just six runs, Shakib Al Hasan was named Player of the Match. Neither Axar Patel's fast-bowling 42 nor Shubman Gill's outstanding 121-run innings were sufficient for India. The unsatisfactory duck by Rohit Sharma and the absence of Virat Kohli tipped the scales. When given the opportunity to play in the starting XI, Suryakumar Yadav could only manage 26 runs.

India vs. Bangladesh Live: The great man is celebrating his 48th ODI century in addition to the big six. He needs one more to tie the utterly absurd century record held by Sachin Tendulkar. KL Rahul ends with 34 off as many balls, while Virat Kohli remains unbeaten at 103 off 97 balls. With a commanding seven-wicket victory over Bangladesh on Thursday, India easily won their fourth straight World Cup match, maintaining their perfect record in the 50-over format. Virat Kohli | Player of the Match
I apologize for taking Jaddu's PoTM award; I wanted to contribute significantly. Despite not really converting them, I have had a few fifty-score innings in World Cups. As I have done for the team over the years, I just wanted to play the entire game this time and stay in until the very end. I was telling Shubman that even if you dream about such a scenario, you won't take it seriously and will simply go back to sleep. For me, the first four balls, two free hits, a six, and a four were a dream start. Simply relaxes you and lets you play the innings. My strategy of timing the ball, hitting the gaps, sprinting quickly, and securing the boundaries when necessary was made possible by the decent pitch. We are enjoying each other's company, the spirit is evident on the field, and the atmosphere in the changing room is fantastic. For this reason, in the field, it is translating in that way. Although the tournament is lengthy, we recognize that in order for the guys to perform at this level, you must build some momentum in the changing area. We want to take full advantage of the unique experience of performing in front of so many people at home.
Najmul Shanto: India has consistently been a strong team with a lot of talent, and they demonstrated this today. Although I believe we didn't play our best cricket, all teams are good, and hopefully we'll play better in the future. He's getting along well with Shakib and ought to be ready for the upcoming game. Both Tanzid and our bowlers played excellent batting; the issue is that we struggled to finish with the bat. If Litton had stayed a little bit longer, the game would have been different; the batting group needs to assume more responsibility.
We were looking forward to this win, and it was good. Although we didn't get off to a good start, the guys improved in the middle and towards the end of the innings. You can control it by giving it your all; our fielding has been excellent in every one of these games. The bowlers were astute enough to know how long to bowl. Though Jaddu was excellent with the ball and the catch, a hundred is always better. Everyone is inspired to perform well since we are performing well as a team and have a medal for every performance on the field. Hardik felt some minor pain, but nothing too severe. We'll wait and see how he arrives tomorrow morning before deciding how to proceed. Every member of the team has experienced pressure; large crowds are expected; the stands are packed; they have not let us down; they have been outstanding; as the game progresses, I have no doubt that their voices will grow louder.
India is winning four games in a row. However, they have games against England and New Zealand coming up, which will be their biggest test. These two games may provide some insight into this team's strength. Concerns regarding Hardik's fitness will also need to be addressed. Should he need to take a temporary break, will they substitute another batsman, leaving themselves with just five bowlers? Will Shardul be one of those five bowlers if they decide to go that route? These decisions, though, are for later.Nevertheless, Bangladesh hasn't played well since defeating Afghanistan in Match 3. That seemed like a long time ago, and their campaign is struggling—obviously against formidable opposition. As they prepare for their game against South Africa on Thursday of next week, it won't get any easier. As #CWC23 progresses, Bengaluru will host its first match, and tomorrow is sure to be an explosive encounter. Australia versus Pakistan, and we'll be back to cover every move. Goodbye and cheers for now.
